A** Run

This weekend LSD has been move to evening time as we gear up for Sundown.

Body haven't recovered yet. Still needs to get the body into the rhythm. My guess is to take a couple of weeks to get it back to a decent shape. The itch and ache from the Shingles has not subside and continue to irritate. Achilles tendon on the right foot still pose a concern.

I hope i can survive the 45km run plan this evening. I won't kid myself that i will do the distance intended. Given all the signals gathered. The best scenario is to clock a 20km+ without anything injury.

Have my dinner at 5pm and couldn't release the load before the run start at 7:20pm. I hope the body will hold.

From ECP F2, the 4 of us(Yankee, Fennel, ST and myself) we head towards Changi Point. There are quite a few runners on the road heading our direction as well, from the look it seems a organise run in preparation for Sundown event as there are road marshall, but no sight of any water support point!

Pace was a decent 6:50min given current body condition. I was feeling alright. Took a few breaks and we reached the fire station traffic light. I hope everything stay at current status when i reached back here again!

Without noticing it, i was left behind by the group. Strange, the effort and feel is the same. Take a look at the watch...pace drops to 7:15min. Hmm....after a while, tummy starts to ache. Damn.

It starts to get abit irritating and some effort require to hold the stomach until we reach the first toilet at the jetty. Maybe it is time of the day to release the "load". Maybe not as i have LS.

Felt much better as we continue to proceed towards Changi Point(Last toilet). Hmm...felt a bit more effort is required. Maybe the strength to hold the tummy has zap up the energy. Anyway, reached the U-turn point(distance 14.7km) and meet up with Tao which is doing the support for us today. Thanks Tao.

I have to replenish - 2 cans of H20, 1 banana, 1 cake...hehe...Trying to "stay alive" to go back to F2!

Continue our way back. Energy level seems to have boosted by the break. Body wise, it seems that PF(on the right leg) is giving me some sensation. Achilles tendons seems to be working fine at this moment which is always good. Slow and steady back to unfinished coastal lonely road again.

I was glad that the group take another tactical halt on the first junction. Tao was there to provide support. It seems like i going to struggle back. :p

After a quick break, another can of H20 and some "dinosaur", i am on my way again. I can feel the tummy starts to showing sign of rumbling once again. Damn.

Another break along coastal road, i think the situation with the tummy is going to be an interesting one. Another 6km to the nearest toilet. Haha. Okay, i think i can do it. It wasn't that bad now.

It gets harder to run with a painful tummy. I have to resort to run/walk. Slow and carefully i make it back to the toilet at seasport club. It was a pain to see the toilet. When the distance get nearer, the tummy starts to ache more badly. Damn it.

Felt so much light after coming out of the toilet. But seems that the body and legs are tired. Continue to walk/run back to F2. Time check 4:17hr for 29.87km. I am closing shop to run another day!

Yankee proceed to B1 and back. Fennel(leg pain cause by VFF), me and ST stop at F2.

Seems like a good run. Must wait and see the damage for the next couple of days.
