Short Sweet Run
Weekend suppose to be meant for LSD. With my current condition, last week longest run was 4km. How long can i run this week? Until today, the week distance is ZERO!
Leg isn't feeling great and we are heading towards MR this time round. How far can i last? The first bus stop or traffic light and have to U-turn?
9 of us started the run from Ngee Ann Poly this Saturday morning. I don't think i can do 20km today(especially in MR). I will be counting myself fortunate if i can reach 10km!
Started off trying to go light on my right leg. Also with a relax mentality(i even forget to wear my Garmin!) as we started off discussing about many things(it is World Cup Fever!).
It is a nice and calm start, up and down the rolling RRR and soon enough we reach the start of the trail. It is 4km from the start. I am not going to try my luck by going longer distance(eg Ranger station). To and fro is 8km, if i wanna do more, i can always head to the track and did a short run.
While the rest proceed forward, 4 of us decide to head back to NP. Again we chat and enjoy each other accompany. I found myself seem to be labouring, despite the short distance and pacing. Must be not condition to do such terrain or lacking of fitness.
Saw another group of familiar faces along Duneran road, before we complete the run.
Leg feel not that bad, some sng from time to time, but holding up very well. Cool.
I give me hope i can do longer distance next week to prepare for KL 1/2 Marathon the end of the month.
